A late call up to Bolesworth international proved very worth it indeed. It is one of the most iconic shows on the British Calendar, bringing together some of the best riders from around the world.

This year we went with a mixture of horses for both David and Louise. Louise did incredibly well with Chamberlain, coming 2nd in the 2* 1.45m on Friday and 5th in the 2* Grand Prix on Saturday. David's ride Grupello Z also did well coming 6th on the second day in the 1.35m. However, it was Gotti Van Paemel who really pulled the stops out. Scheduled as an evening class in the sunken main arena for the perfect viewing position from above for the hospitality, the Puissance class took place. This was Gotti Van Paemel's first ever time tackling the wall and he did it in style. With only David and Victoria Gulliksen clear after round 4 they had the choice to divide the winnings there and then or to go to a fifth round. David's competitive streak took hold and he pushed it for a 5th round. Gotti jumped his heart out and cleared the 2m wall to win the class, however so did Victoria's horse. We couldn't have thought of a better person to share such a win with and we look forward to Gotti's Puissance prospects for the future.
