Vilamoura Atlantic Tour- WEEK 1

Helen Cruden

With the two 7 year olds heading home to the UK it was left to the older horses to keep the run of success going and they certainly didn't disappoint. In the first days ranking class Louise and her super mare Fiona van het Lemmenshof were 2nd and Chamberlain was 7th. David was also clear with Cognac finishing 10th. Saving the best until last Chamberlain (pictured) and Louise jumped a foot perfect double clear in the Grand Prix to finish 2nd, leading throughout the jump off she was just caught but the whole team were delighted with the result. David and Cognac had a very unlucky fence to finish off a fantastic week.

Over in the UK Lola took the young horses out to Felbridge and Coombelands. Louise's 5 year old Miami 19 jumped two double clears in the newcomers. Darco Diva won the foxhunter at Felbridge and has now been sold after her great form over the last few weeks. David's 6 year old Galwaybay Merbreaker was 3rd and 4th in the two foxhunters and Emma Harrison's Oscar Zee won the 1.25
