STUDENT IN THE SPOTLIGHT DURING VILAMOURA CHAMPIONS TOUR WEEK TWO

Blazing a trail - DLS student Alexandra Sommerville-Cotton went straight to the top of the class this week, with a flawless series of rounds in Vilamoura.

Her string, including 2 5-year-old horses and the established Senator’s Rhondiago and Conan Doyle in the 3* 1.30, didn’t record a single fault, further highlighting the benefits of consistent, quality training. Well done, Alex!

Come Wednesday, the rest of team also enjoyed some more success in the sunshine, with David clear and then 7th in the 3* 1.40 aboard Foudre F and Caluna Z, respectively – meanwhile, Graham and Franklin were clear to finish in the money in the same class.

In the 1.45 on Thursday, David and Foudre F finished 10th to qualify for the GP. David was also clear with Kurly V/D Gorten in the 1.40, while Graham took second place in that class aboard Fashion Prince and recorded a terrific double clear with Calacas D Aubigny in the 1.30.

A fantastically competitive Grand Prix class on Sunday saw David and Foudre deliver two stunning rounds to finish 10th.
