The weekend got off to a thrilling start where David and Mysao des Roches Rouges entered the Puissance
The pair put on a great show for the crowd and despite having an unlucky pole early on they finished in 5th place. This was the first time this horse jumped a Puissance and we couldn’t be more impressed with how he handled the atmosphere.
Friday was the turn of Carleyle in the CSI5* Speed Stakes. Proving his scope and athleticism, Carleyle had a great round to go double clear which was fast enough for them to finish 8th – a great 5* debut for this special stallion! Foudre F had a great round in the CSI5* Pearl Stakes with just one pole taking them out of the jump off, however itt was still put them in good stead for the rest of the week.
On Saturday, Carleyle had an easy steady round in the CSI5* Falcon Stakes, but the highlight of the day was yard favourite Foudre F who finished 9th in the CSI5* Kingdom of Bahrain Stakes.
The final day of the week saw David and Carlyle in the CSI5* Manama Rose Show stakes, where the pair did an effortless clear to land in 7th place, a great way to finish the week for Carleyle. Finally, David and Foudre F were in the prestigious CSI5* Rolex Grand Prix, despite a couple of unlucky poles, they jumped a great round, and it was fantastic to see them back in the main ring at Windsor!
A big thank you to everyone at the Royal Windsor Horse Show for putting a great weekend of Show jumping. It was great to be back and we at DLS look forward to coming back next year.
