Thursday set a great tone for the show with both new ride Carleyle and yard favourite Foudre F jumping clear in the 3* 1.40. Foudre F was on top form and looked ready for the team event the following day.
The Nations Cup, sponsored by Longines, was a nail-biting competition to watch but it was Team Ireland who came out on top with a clean sheet and total score of 0 with Great Britian following on a score of 8 faults. As always, it was an honour to be selected for the team alongside Eoin Mcmahon, Eoin Gallagher, and Alexander Butler and Chef D’Equipe Michael Blake. It was truly one for the books!
Sunday saw David and Carleyle come 15th in the 3* 1.45 with this combination just getting better and better every time they step into the ring. It wasn’t David’s day in the 3* Grand Prix as Foudre F had an unfortunate fence in the first round which kept him out of the jump off.
It was great to be back at Peelbergen and thank you to the whole team at the show for putting on a fantastic and safe show.
