This week DLS headed to a new international show in England at a very familiar showground – 2* Keysoe!
On Thursday the team got off to a great start with Ben and Unex Cognac IV jumping clear in the 1.20. David piloted Carleyle to a great clear in the 2* 1.30 – this stallion keeps getting better and better each round! The highlight of the day was Lou and Cooper VA jumping onto the podium in the 2* 1.30.
Friday saw 6-year-old Billy Brisk jump a fabulous round in the age classes with stable mate Carleyle repeating the result in the 2* 1.35, both being expertly ridden by David. Lou also jumped some stunning rounds in the 2* 1.25 with Billy Blossom and the 2* 1.35 with Cooper VA with both horses having an unfortunate fence.
Saturday was another great day for DLS. Ben and Unex Cognac IV had a great round in the Bronze Tour Final for just one down – a huge well done to Ben for all his hard work! Young horses Billy Brisk and Billy Blossom both had unfortunate rails in the 6-year-old class and 2* 1.25, respectively. The last class was the 2* Grand Prix with David and Lou both qualifying. David stepped Carleyle up to jump his first Grand Prix and he jumped a fabulous round for just one down and Lou finished in 12th with Starrouge.
A huge thank you to Keysoe for such a great show and everyone at DLS who make it all possible!
