It’s been another great week for the team out in Vilamoura finishing with two wins and a further three top 5 placings.

Kicking off the week with a bang was Indian Quality Z, who jumped the 7-year-old class under David. The pair took to the arena on the first day with their eyes on the prize, and after a foot perfect double clear, finished victorious. Continuing on form, they went on to jump another double clear in the class on Tuesday to take 4th place and finish Indian Quality Z’s week on a clean sheet.

David and Balloon Cruise started their week together on the Thursday with a clear in the CSI3* to take 4th place. Super stallion Carleyle also started in this class, jumping a steady clear, picking up one time fault but setting them up for the week ahead.

Jumping alongside David was student Antonia Platt with G Star Blue, who put everything she’s been learning into practise and took a fantastic 2nd place with a lovely clear round.

Going into the weekend, Friday saw a busy day for the team. Balloon Cruise took her result from earlier in the week and did 3 better, finishing with a win in the 3* 1.35 following an impressive show of athleticism.

Friday also saw David take the reins Amazon JD, who started his tour under former DLS rider Charlene Bastone. David quickly got to know this mare and they jumped to 13th place in the 1.35 together. Annie Platt, another student of DLS, saw success in the 1.40, jumping a lovely clear round with TJ Calon Lan.

Saturdays 3* Ranking class didn’t disappoint, as David and Carleyle went up against some stiff competition, but a clear in the first round saw them qualify for the jump off and ultimately finish a respectable 11th
